Schedule : Monday-Friday (8 Hours)

Job purpose

Perform maintenance and repairs as needed on HVAC systems and production support equipment which includes but is not limited to chillers, boilers, air handlers, cooling towers, compressors, and air dryers.

Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment using blueprints, manufacturer specifications, and wiring diagrams.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Performs basic repairs on plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and fix any plumbing-related issues.
  • Troubleshoots and performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures.
  • Responsible for the preventive maintenance of all site HVAC equipment by performing PM activities.
  • Areas of responsibility include all preventive and reactive building and site maintenance.
  • Will be required to document daily activities, work order resolution, equipment maintenance and repair activities.
  • Manage vendors and recommend improvements.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Technical knowledge of industrial manufacturing building equipment and maintenance required.
  • Electrical, instrumentation, electronics, and mechanical background
  • Understand the operation of the facility's HVAC System
  • Must be able to work from blueprints, manufacturer specifications, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to use common precision measurement gages, multimeters, and basic machine shop equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand / walk for a 12-hour shift.
  • Must be able to push / pull / lift at least 45 lbs. individually and 50 lbs. with the help of a team member.
  • Must be able to use, handle, and manipulate items and materials, including hazardous materials, with proper material handling equipment / tools.
  • Must complete 24 / 40-hour HazWoper Training and be medically qualified to wear respiratory protection.

Safety Requirements

  • Physically able to pass spirometry exam for test fitting of respiratory equipment.
  • Ability to wear required PPE (including safety glasses, gloves (nitrile, canvas, etc.), hearing protection, ANSI-approved footwear, and others as required.

The hiring range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
