Job description

Job Title : HL7 Integration Architect

Location : Remote (EST Hours)

Type : 6+ Months Contract

Overview :

Seeking an experienced HL7 Integration Architect to lead healthcare interoperability initiatives using HL7 v2.x, Epic Bridges, and Intersystems HealthConnect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement HL7 integration solutions using HealthConnect and Epic Bridges.
  • Partner with technical and clinical teams to meet interoperability goals.
  • Maintain secure, efficient, and scalable data integration systems.
  • Document workflows, data flows, and interface inventories.
  • Lead integration audits and uphold best practices.
  • Mentor developers on HL7 standards and provide escalation support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 10+ years in technical analyst / developer roles.
  • 3+ years with Epic Bridges and HL7 Integration Engines (HealthConnect required).
  • Epic Bridges Certification mandatory; TOGAF-9, ITIL-F, or COBIT-5 preferred.
  • Expertise in HL7 v2.x, FHIR, and healthcare interoperability frameworks.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of IT security and architecture frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF).
