Position Overview
The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) plays a critical role in supporting the behavioral, emotional, and social development of students. The BCBA designs, implements, and refines individualized behavioral support plans and provides coaching and consultation to educators and school staff. This role enhances the capacity of school-based teams to effectively support students whose behaviors interfere with learning, helping them thrive academically and socially in the least restrictive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and refine behavioral support programs tailored to student needs.
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that align with assessment data, family concerns, and educational impact.
- Provide direct and consultative services as outlined in Student Support Team (SST) Plans, 504 Plans, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs / IFSPs), or BIPs.
- Model and coach evidence-based strategies and data collection techniques for teachers, paraprofessionals, and school staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including school psychologists, counselors, and administrators to ensure consistency and fidelity in behavioral support.
- Deliver professional development and training to school personnel to strengthen behavioral intervention practices.
- Prepare clear, data-driven reports and documentation reflecting student progress toward behavioral goals.
- Support the development of social skills interventions and positive behavior support systems within school environments.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies, including use of official communication channels and compliance with FERPA.
- Provide services at assigned school sites during regular school hours or as directed by City Schools.
Qualifications
Current BCBA Certification (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.Valid Maryland BCBA licensure ; MSDE Advanced Professional Certificate with Administrator I endorsement preferred.Demonstrated expertise in IEP development , compliance with IDEA and Section 504 regulations, and use of research-based behavioral strategies.Proven ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting tools; computer literacy required.Valid Driver’s License or reliable transportation, as multiple school assignments may be required.Professional Expectations

Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($35–$55 per hour)..No overtime permitted under this solicitation.Option for temporary-to-permanent employment after three (3) years of successful placement.
