As the VP of Continuous Integration, you will be in charge of the strategy involving fully implementing modern development practices and eliminating build and submission friction, while leveraging AI and agentic capabilities to address architectural dependencies. You’ll partner with senior engineering, security, and product leaders to shape the next generation of tooling and paved paths that enable engineers to deliver innovation faster, with higher quality, and at massive scale. The Role : You are a strategic leader responsible for driving the modernization of the Salesforce quality pipeline and significantly enhancing the Core Developer Experience. A primary objective is managing major strategic initiatives such as overseeing the efforts to drastically improve Release and Test Quality. Crucially, the leader must drive the adoption of AI / Agentic workflows across the CI workflow. This includes both building and integrating existing tools to leverage AI in each step of the Core software development lifecycle, which are intended to eliminate non-deterministic tests, automatically fix failures, and route issues effectively. Responsibilities also include strategic oversight of organizational restructuring, ensuring the scalability and stability of the CI system. What We’re Looking For : 15+ years of progressive engineering management experience, including 5+ years leading senior engineering leaders at scale. Build, mentor, and inspire a world-class team of engineering managers and developer advocates. Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning while growing future engineers. Proven track record managing developer platforms, internal tooling, or infrastructure products for large engineering organizations. Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, CI / CD, and modern cloud-native engineering practices. Worked through large scale problems that used AI and ML to solve those problems. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across a complex, matrixed organization. Experience driving large-scale transformations that significantly improved developer productivity, velocity, and satisfaction. Exceptional communication skills, equally comfortable presenting strategy to senior executive leaders and discussing technical tradeoffs with engineers. AI literate with hands on ability to go from product requirement to prototype BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Success in this role looks like : A clear, multi-year vision for Salesforce’s internal developer experience that is fully aligned at the executive level. Significant reduction in developer friction across onboarding, testing, deploying, and operating code. Drives AI Agents and Trust initiatives that leverages AI / GenAI to multiply effectiveness in the SDLC. Eliminates operational toil and improves foundational infrastructure reliability. Ensures robust quality gates are upheld through high volume. Defines vision and requirements for autonomous testing and code-fixing agents using data driven decisions. Measured improvements in productivity, developer satisfaction, and platform adoption.
