Materials & Processes Engineer
You will be the Materials & Processes Engineer for the Advanced Structures & Systems team. Our team pioneers the development and implementation of cutting edge materials, surface treatments, and fabrication processes that enable high performance aerospace structures across major production programs.

As the Materials & Processes Engineer you will be responsible for driving material through production. You'll apply chemistry, physics, and material behavior expertise to create robust specifications, fabrication methods, and assembly processes while partnering closely with product development, analysis, and production operations. Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (preferably in Material Science or Materials Engineering), or equivalent experience / combined education. Familiarity and a strong background in material manufacturing processes, material testing processes and procedures. Candidate MUST have the ability to travel and be willing to work off-sight as needed for assignments.
Desired Skills
Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering / Science. Experience with Materials and Processess associated with electronics assemblies and components. Experience working with full assemblies as well as subassemblies, down to components level. Experience supporting failure review boards and working towards corrective action. Familiarity with programs at MFC or experience working with US Govt DOD customers. Familiarity with evaluating and developing material and specifications. Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills. Candidate must be capable of performing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and team environment. Candidate must have strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills for generating M&P support documentation, material plans, material and process reports, and potential proposals are necessary. Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, machine drawings, 2-D drawings, CAD drawings and material callouts and / or material processing note.
