Senior Electrical Engineer

Direct Hire : Not a Contract Position!

Position Summary

Under minimal supervision, designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electrical or electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment, or other hardware systems and / or electrical engineering applications.

Principal Duties :

  • Remain current in knowledge of new and emerging technologies within the appropriate electrical fields (electrical circuit design, controllers, micro controllers, PCBA design and components etc.)
  • Applying latest industry knowledge, develops circuits to control and power dry pumps, abatement units, subsystems, and accessories.
  • Maintains relevant knowledge of applicable national safety standards and ensures it is applied properly to all ETI electrical designs (NEC, NFPA, UL, SEMI).
  • Develop, apply and implement new technologies, methodologies, software, industry BKM’s to ETI electrical design projects and products.
  • Responsible for fully documenting all design work and working with drafters to complete design documentation.
  • Provides assistance to Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality on electrical and electronic issues.
  • Assumes responsibility for well-defined, large-scale projects and subprojects including testing and validation of final product. (Essential)
  • Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.
  • Writes design specifications for supplier-developed product. May also review vendor capability to support product development.
  • Train and mentor Electrical Engineer I-II-III.
  • Complies with safety policies, including participation in and completion of all required safety training.
  • Maintains clean and safe working environment compliant with Ebara and customer safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Ten (10) or more years’ work-related experience in the semiconductor process industry or related area.
  • Good working knowledge and use of design and documentation software (e.g. AutoCAD, Solidworks).
  • Working knowledge of general policies and procedures.
  • Strong Customer Relations skills.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills with a creative attitude toward innovation.
  • Proven capabilities developing and deploying embedded PCB designs for production
  • Fundamental knowledge of programming for control systems
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Sufficient PC skills to manage information and to prepare reports and presentations without support.
  • Strong relationship building skills with ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal colleagues and customer.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and organizational skills.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other B.S. with equivalent technical experience in engineered product industry.

Compensation : $110,000 to $130,000 Depending on skills and experience
