Overview
We are looking for a Process Controls Engineer to join our team and take ownership of process-focused automation projects from start to finish. This role plays a key part in supporting and improving manufacturing operations by designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems that ensure safe, reliable, and efficient processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead controls projects from concept through commissioning, including design, programming, testing, and documentation.
- Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC- and HMI-based control systems (Siemens or Rockwell automation).
- Work with P&IDs and process equipment including boilers, chillers, wastewater systems, ventilation, ovens, sludge handling, and RTOs.
- Collaborate with process engineering, maintenance, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of controls with operations.
- Monitor system performance, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement solutions to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain and update documentation for controls architecture, process flow, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, or Process Engineering (or related field).Hands-on experience with Siemens or Rockwell automation platforms.Strong background in process controls with exposure to P&IDs and industrial systems such as boilers, chillers, ovens, ventilation, wastewater treatment, sludge handling, and RTOs.Proven ability to manage projects independently from start to completion.Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.Seniority level
