Corporate Safety Trainer - Construction - Base Salary to $110k - Lamont, IL
AllSearch Recruiting is searching for a Corporate Safety Trainer for our client in Lamont, IL. The Corp Safety Trainer will provide in-depth training, coaching and communication across multi-state locations to ensure understanding of all current government safety regulations (i.e., OSHA), workers' compensation, emergency response planning & procedures, first aid, CPR, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene.
The Corp Safety Trainer will also be responsible for day-to-day safety department support and construction site visits within a leading civil industrial and maintenance construction organization focused on multi-state industrial, power, chemical and commercial plants.
Responsibilities :
- Present training for New Employee Orientations, Fall Protection, Forklift, Aerial Lift, Lifting & Rigging, Excavation Safety, and a variety of other topics as required by our client sites.
- Utilize diverse teaching methods, including lectures, interactive discussions, case studies, demonstrations, and multimedia resources to enhance learner engagement and retention
- Evaluate participant comprehension through quizzes, exercises, and assessments; provide constructive feedback and coaching to support learning objectives
- Maintain accurate attendance, course completion records, and submit necessary documentation to OSHA-authorized training organizations
- Solicit feedback from participants and employers to refine instructional approaches and update materials as regulations, technologies, and industry best practices evolve
- Ensure all training activities adhere to OSHA Outreach Training Program guidelines and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant OSHA standards and policies
- Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for safety-related inquiries
- Design and prepare lesson plans, training aids, handouts, and supplementary materials
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where participants feel comfortable discussing workplace safety challenges
- Stay current with changes in OSHA standards, industry trends, and emerging hazards to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of course content
- Guide learners through practical exercises on hazard identification, personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency response, and accident investigation
- Collaborate with employers, safety committees, and other trainers to coordinate course logistics and maximize training impact
- Uphold professional and ethical standards in all instructional and mentoring activities
Qualifications :
3-5 years experience as an OSHA Authorized Trainer (completed OSHA 500 and 510 courses)Thorough understanding of OSHA standards (29 CFR 1910 for General Industry, 29 CFR 1926 for Construction)Proven ability to teach adult learners, communicate complex information clearly, and adapt instruction to diverse audiencesStrong presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skillsFamiliarity with current OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, risk assessment, and safety management systemsAbility to analyze workplace processes, identify hazards, and recommend effective control measuresKnowledge of Petrochemical and Energy Industries processes and regulationsClean Driving Record as most training is conducted at various local client sitesOQ / TQ experience / certification strongly desiredCompensation & Benefits :
