Job description

Temple Court, a Tom Colicchio restaurant within The Beekman Hotel is seeking a Lunch  Fish Cook  to join our culinary team.

The Fish Cook is responsible for preparing, cook ing, and plating fish and seafood dishes with precision and consistency, while upholding the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and efficiency. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all fish and seafood cook ery with precision, consistency, and according to recipe standards.
  • Break down and prepare fresh seafood for daily service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized station, following DOH, health, and safety standards at all times.
  • Assist with daily prep and contribute to menu development as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
  • Uphold company standards for professionalism, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of fish cook ery techniques (grilling, roasting, poaching, searing, etc.).
  • Ability to properly handle and butcher fish / seafood.
  • Excellent knife skills and understanding of kitchen safety.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to thrive under pressure.
  • NYC DOH Food Handler’s Certification (preferred).
