Job descriptionThere is a separate BR for local candidatesRequired :HSD / GEDFlu vaccination (no exemptions / no declinationsBLS (AHA or ARC only)Medical Assistant Certificate / Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries1 year working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office settingProficiency with blood / lab draws and venipunctureExperience with CS-Link / Epic Preferred Qualifications :2+ years working as an MA in PediatricsExperience with pediatric blood draws and heel sticksFamiliarity with well-child checks and the childhood vaccination scheduleExperience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plansPhlebotomy certificationExperience with CS-Link / Epic Job Duties :Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical recordAssist with tracking and monitoring department specific dataExplain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practiceSet up exam / procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needsClean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelinesAdminister immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by providerDraw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider NOTE : These statements describe the primary duties and responsibilities of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all tasks.
