Position Overview
As our HSE Specialist , you will play a key role in promoting a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and company standards. You will develop, implement, and maintain safety programs that protect employees, support operational excellence, and align with company objectives. Key duties include performing safety audits, providing employee training on topics like Lockout / Tagout (LOTO), and managing hazardous waste disposal. The role focuses on creating a safe work environment, protecting employees, and preventing incidents in a production setting. You will partner with Operations, Quality, and Management to drive continuous improvement in safety performance and risk management.
Position Key Areas of Responsibility
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations, as well as internal policiesDevelop and maintain HSE programs, procedures, and documentation that meet company and client requirementsConduct internal audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazardsLead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actionsTraining & Safety Culture Development
Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and employee training programsFoster a culture of safety awareness, engagement, and accountability across all levels of the organizationSupport supervisors and employees in understanding and applying HSE standards in daily operationsPerformance Monitoring & Reporting
Maintain accurate safety and environmental records and prepare regular reports on HSE metrics and trendsManage documentation through systems such as SharePoint or other digital platformsCollaboration & Continuous Improvement
Partner with management to identify opportunities for improvement in HSE performanceWork closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and HR to ensure HSE integration across all functionsParticipate in operational planning meetings and provide HSE input for projects and manufacturing activitiesSupport initiatives that strengthen safety culture, compliance, and continuous improvement company widePosition Compensation

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum of 3–5 years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of rotating equipment and welding equipmentStrong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and relevant regulatory standards requiredExperience conducting internal and external audits, inspections, and incident investigations as well as risk assessments, root cause analysis and corrective action planningProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SharePoint or HSE management systems preferredEffective communication, training, and leadership skills with the ability to engage teams at all levelsInitiative-taking, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvementOSHA 100-hour training required (or willingness to obtain)APPLY NOW!
