Certifications : BLS required

Description :

This position is for a registered nurse in the post-anesthesia recovery unit.

The assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks on a day shift.

The nurse will care for patients recovering from anesthesia.

The unit has a total of 10 beds and 24 staff members.

The nurse will be responsible for caring for patients in Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery.

In Phase 1 recovery, the nurse will monitor up to 2 patients.

In Phase 2 recovery, the nurse will manage up to 3 patients per RN based on patient acuity.

Critical care experience is required, including the ability to titrate drips and care for intubated patients.

Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP, and CPAP is preferred.

Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is a plus.

The ideal candidate should be flexible, organized, and efficient with time.
