12 : 00 am to 8 : 00 am

Job Summary : Under the direction of the Production Supervisor assist with leadership, management, and coordination of available resources to ensure a safe and efficient manufacturing environment through the production output. The role of Production Lead is completed in addition to the team members regular job responsibilities.

This role will also be a Press Operator. (see attached job description)

Duties / Responsibilities :

• In the absence of the Production Supervisor, responsible for the daily flow of production.
• Ensure that the department team members follow all milkrite | InterPuls policies and procedures.
• Assist in mentoring and training needs for current and new team members, new tasks, and / or new equipment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and production team members on a regular basis.
• Ensure that a supportive environment is provided and assist with resolving minor grievances.
• Communicate / escalate daily information, trends, and concerns through Tier Communication Process (SQUID).
• Promote an efficient production environment through continuous improvement tools such as Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Track and determine labor hours and overtime hours (when necessary) to meet demands of weekly schedule.
• Work directly with the Production and Mill supervisors to determine what is required to support the production schedule.
• Escalate issues or problems to the supervisor.

Carry out any specific duties assigned by the Production Supervisor and / or Leadership team.
