Human Resources Benefit & Leave Coordinator – Healthcare

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and people-focused Human Resources Benefit & Leave Coordinator to manage employee benefit and leave programs while delivering an exceptional employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and supplemental coverage for a healthcare workforce.
  • Coordinate leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA, short / long-term disability) in partnership with a third-party leave administrator.
  • Lead open enrollment processes and handle benefit enrollments throughout the year.
  • Maintain and update employee records using Dayforce HRIS and benefit carrier portals.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and healthcare-specific regulatory requirements through timely reporting and documentation.
  • Serve as a resource to employees and leaders, providing high-touch customer service for benefits and leave-related questions.
  • Support workers' compensation case coordination, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Assist HR team with various administrative and compliance-related tasks.
  • Creatively promote and communicate benefits and perks to staff using engaging materials, events, and campaigns—ensuring employees are informed, excited, and taking full advantage of available offerings.
  • Maintain an extremely organized approach to managing multiple tasks and deadlines with exceptional follow-up skills to ensure no detail is missed.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in benefits administration in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment.
  • Solid knowledge of FMLA, ADA, HIPAA , and other relevant compliance standards.
  • Experience with Dayforce HRIS (or similar platforms) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Creative and outgoing approach to publicizing employee benefits, perks, and wellness initiatives.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented , with excellent time management and strong follow-up skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
