East Adams Rural Healthcare is seeking Paramedics for transition from BLS to ALS department in rural eastern Washington.

This small community located along Interstate 90 offers a great opportunity to live and work in a rural community and play a key role in delivering healthcare. The ambulance department is an essential part of the hospital and is supported by hospital leadership.

East Adams Rural Healthcare is a growing critical access hospital offering an emergency department, primary care physicians, physical therapy, radiology including MRI, just to name a few of the services.

Qualifications

•

Current registration as a Paramedic with the National Registry of EMT’s.

•

Current certification as a Paramedic with the Washington Department of Health.

•

Current American Heart Association BLS certification

•

Current state-issued driver’s license (with acceptable driving history)

Responsibilities

•

The Paramedic position provides quality patient care in the out-of-hospital setting, including assessment of illness and/or injury, administering emergency care, and transportation services for emergent and non emergent care.

Operate ambulance in all weather conditions safely and with due regard.

•

Responds to medical emergencies within the scope of training under operational guidelines and physician medical control.

Provide training and mentorship to paid call EMT staff.

Work in hospital or clinic as assigned.

Paramedic: • Current registration as a Paramedic with the National Registry of EMT’s • Current certification as a Paramedic with the Washington • Current American Heart Association BLS certification as an instructor or provider (or obtain within 90 days of start date), company paid • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification as an instructor or provider (or obtain within 90 days of start date), company paid • Current state-issued driver’s license (with acceptable driving history) EMS providers are required to pass a post-offer physical screen which includes the essential functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without a reasonable accommodation, in order to be qualified for the job.
