Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead supply chain system implementation and policy development
- Drive Supply Chain innovation
- Maintain strategic sourcing relationships and development of teaming agreements and partnerships in support of the CUBE structure
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Lead and Support Cost reduction strategies
- Optimize terms and conditions for increased performance, profitability, and cash flow
- Work cross-functionally with finance, contracts, and business development on available government incentives for certain subcontractors and suppliers
- Work with legal to draft supplier dispute resolution documents
- Support tactical purchasing as needed
- Drive Compliance culture into the business.
- Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.
- Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company.
- Obtaining quotes from different suppliers.
- Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.
- Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.
- Generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes.
- Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in administration, logistics, supply chain or related field.
- Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR
- CPSR Experience a plus
- Proven experience in sourcing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies.
- Strong communication skills.
- Sound time-management and organizational skills.
Physical, Environmental and Sensory Requirements
- Work environment is a typical office setting.
- Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.
- Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. but generally not to the point of being disagreeable.
- May require minimal travel
