Technical Business Development Manager
This is a remote position. Our client, a renewable energy company, is seeking a dynamic and driven Technical Business Development Manager to spearhead acquiring enterprise clients. This role requires a unique blend of technical acumen and business development skills to identify, engage, and secure partnerships with high-profile businesses seeking solar energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and target large-scale businesses and organizations that would benefit from solar energy solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to secure new business and drive revenue growth.
Technical Expertise :
Understand and communicate the technical aspects and benefits of solar energy systems to potential clients.Collaborate with the technical team to design tailored solar solutions that meet client needs.Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and competitive landscape.Sales and Negotiation :
Lead negotiations and close deals with high-value clients.Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and contracts.Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.Market Research and Strategy :
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends.Develop and execute business development strategies to expand our client base.Provide feedback to the product development team to enhance our platform and services.Go-To-Market Strategy :
Plan and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches and feature updates.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, sales, customer success) to ensure alignment and effective execution.Sales Enablement :
Create and maintain sales enablement materials such as product demos, pitch decks, case studies, and FAQs.Train the sales team on product positioning and key messaging to ensure consistency and effectiveness.Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the renewable energy sector, preferably solar.Strong technical understanding of solar energy systems and solutions.Proven track record of securing and managing large client accounts.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
