Responsibilities

Carolina Casualty is seeking a detail-oriented, quick-learner with an interest in pursuing a long-term career with a constantly-evolving top competitor in the Commercial Transportation Insurance industry.

Key functions will include but not be limited to :

• Collect and analyze data to rate new and renewal business
• Efficiently navigate in rating and issuance systems, including timely and accurate issuance of policies and policy amendments
• Adhere to all Carolina Casualty, Underwriting, State, and Federal rules and regulations
• Examine documents including declarations, applications, signed forms, Motor Vehicle Reports, and other policy documents for accuracy and completeness
• Interpret underwriting manuals / guidelines, rating manuals, forms, and workflows and provide improvement recommendations as appropriate
• Maintain knowledge of technical underwriting process and / or research information if needed; participate in ongoing training as appropriate
• Collaborate with peers, Underwriters, and other departments to promptly and proactively address business challenges and / or opportunities
• Perform other duties and / or projects as assigned
• Provide first level contact for external customer service inquiries
