Marklund is seeking highly motivated and mission-centered individuals for the position of an Accounting Assistant. This is a full-time position based out of the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, IL. The schedule is Monday-Friday from 8 : 00 AM-4 : 00 PM with a salary of $55,000 annually. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements.

Who We Are :

Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With three residential locations – the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, the Marklund Philip Center in Bloomingdale, and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.

Essential Job Functions :

Manage Marklund Cash Receipts

Process Billing for Private Pay, Social Security

Coordinate with Accounts Receivable Manager for reconciliation of payments

Process Charities Accounts Payable

Provide support for Annual Audit

Acquire / maintain skills to run ERP system and Excel sheets

Required Experience :

Qualifications :

1-2 years of bookkeeping experience preferred

Associate's Degree or higher preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its function and environmental requirements
