A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PAYROLL COORDINATOR :

As our Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for processing all bi-weekly payroll and paycheck distribution. You will enter new employees into the payroll processing system, including new hire paperwork, termination forms, change action forms, address changes, direct deposit information, W-4 information, and garnishments. You will also be responsible for all timekeeping issues, timekeeping software, and timekeeping clocks; you will ensure all timekeeping records are accurate before every payroll run, and coordinate timekeeping training for managers to ensure they know the timekeeping process. Will also be responsible for all filing and scanning of payroll-related documents into our electronic filing system. Will be responsible for reconciling all employee benefit insurance documents. Some minor accounts payable and accounts receivable duties to maintain the segregation of duties within the department.

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must have at least 5 years of experience in processing payroll for a 500+ employee population.
• Experience working with ADP and in the hospitality field is highly desirable.
• Experience with paying variable pay, including lesson income, tip income, commissions, and other gratuities.
• Must have a high school diploma.
• Must be customer service-oriented and able to handle detailed, confidential information.
• Must have a high level of computer skills in accounting systems and spreadsheets.
• Must have complex problem-solving skills, integrity, honesty, and the ability to communicate sensitive information confidentially with maturity and diplomacy.
• Must have a valid Florida driver's license.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to set priorities and define what is most important.
• Must be able to solve problems and create procedures to ensure the department and personnel are working efficiently to their full capacity.
• Must be dedicated and committed with a desire to excel, and willing to take on additional responsibilities.
