Quitman County School District is excited to announce an opening for the position of Middle School Social Studies Teacher. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator to join our team and inspire students.

Position : Middle School Social Studies Teacher

Location : Quitman County Middle School, Georgetown, Ga

Type : Full-time

Responsibilities :

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Social Studies lessons to middle school students.

2. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

3. Utilize a variety of instructional methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.

4. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.

5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities.

6. Stay current with advancements in Social Studies education and integrate real-world applications into the curriculum.

7. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents / guardians.

8. Supervise and support student activities, such as clubs and organizations.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

2. Demonstrated passion for and expertise in teaching Social Studies subjects.

3. Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

4. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

5. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
