Property Claims Supervisor
As a Property Claims Supervisor, you'll be a key contributor to the Berkley One brand, will supervise claims adjusters across multiple states. This role is centered around providing expert management and oversight of property claims adjusters and processes, quality, and ensuring differentiated service to clients, business partners while assuring expense mgt and proper claim outcomes. You'll be an integral member of the leadership team and we'll trust you to actively engage in vendor management, catastrophe management, quality assurance, an agency liaison and coach to the team.

We'll count on you to :
Manage inside and outside claims adjusters to meet or exceed performance metrics.Manage, coach and administer employee performance, compensation and goalsetting processes for team members.Lead the adjustment and management of high-value property claims, ensuring superior customer service to Berkley One customers, agent partners, as well as internal and external business partner.Conduct thorough investigations, assess damages, and oversee the entire claims process for the TPA network from end-to-end, including coverage reviews, reserving, negotiation, and settlement.Apply property claims expertise to make well-informed decisions and guide the resolution of claims effectively.Analyze and interpret insurance coverage, clearly communicating positions in accordance with Berkley One guidelines and under the direction of the claim department.Direct and manage assignments to external experts and legal counsel, ensuring efficiency and quality standards.Evaluate detailed information regarding coverage, estimated scope, and damage costs, and ensure fair settlements within the confines of the policy contract.Set and adjust reserves within authority limits, recommending reserve changes as needed.Assist with vendor contracts and ensuring service level agreements are adhered.What you need to have :
Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experienceA minimum of 7 to 10 years' experience in property claims management, specifically focusing on high-value residential and personal property claims, including collectibles.Vendor management experience, management of contracts, and understanding of service level agreements applied in practice for quality assurances.Demonstrated capability in handling complex coverage issues and a deep understanding of insurance and legal principles.Proficiency with high-net-worth policy coverages and services.Excellent analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.Travel as necessary for business-related activities such as mediations, arbitrations, and trials (approximately 10-15% travel).What makes you stand out :
