Russell Tree Experts is seeking a Training and Safety Professional to join our utility team in our Environmental department. The Training and Safety Professional manages, advises, and ensures compliance with all safety policies encompassing organizational, industry, and regulatory standards for operations within the Environmental division.

The Training and Safety Professional is responsible for :

Training and monitoring crew compliance with safety policies, ensuring public, customer, and other third-party safety, by upholding all applicable policies and standards including but not limited to Z133, OSHA, EPA, and internal Company HSE SOPs and SWPs.

Knowledge and ability to identify and communicate electrical systems and electrical hazards.

Knowledge and ability to identify and communicate hazardous working conditions, land topography, and other dangerous land features and conditions.

Forestry related duties including but not limited to Hazard Tree Assessments and SWPPP compliance.

Assist crews in value retention of marketable timber generated during clearing operations in accordance with Special Conditions and other applicable contracts, guidelines, and best practices.

In conjunction with management, investigates and compiles reports for all safety-related incidents including near misses, injuries, and incidents.

Lead safety tailgates and other safety and industry-related meetings on a revolving weekly basis.

Adheres to all applicable safety rules and regulations.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

What candidates should possess :

1.High School diploma or GED equivalent

2.Availability 7 AM-5 PM Monday through Friday, occasional weekends

3.Valid Drivers License & Insurable Driving Record

4.OSHA 30 (within 30 days of hire)

5.First Aid & CPR (within 30 days of hire)

6.5 years demonstrated safety-related experience in green industry operations OR 5 years of increasing responsibility in the professional and technical green industry operations

7.2- or 4-year degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Safety or related field (preferred)

8.CSP, SAF, or ISA Certified Arborist (required)
