Shipping Associate

In the shipping department, you will be responsible for locating completed parts using the inventory system and identifying which parts need to be shipped and in what manner. You will determine the appropriate packaging methods, including building wooden crates to protect parts during transit. Additionally, you will be responsible for packing parts into crates, securing them appropriately, and staging products for loading onto trucks. Occasionally, you may perform small assembly functions to ensure products meet customer specifications before packaging and shipping.

Responsibilities :

• Gather and package parts in wooden crates to protect them during transit.
• Use various tools including saws, drills, nail guns, and tape measures to create crates as needed.
• Systematically locate parts with a computer, create shipping lists, and communicate with other employees.
• Perform picking, packing, and kitting of parts.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts for moving skids, pallets, and raw materials.
• Assemble small assemblies using blueprints to support the processes and the shop team.

Work Environment :

The Prototype shop is a small, fully functioning production area where engineers work directly with production to build prototypes of new equipment or updates to existing equipment. The pace is generally slower than in a full production environment, but attention to detail and accuracy are vital, as is dependability.

Job Type & Location :

This is a contract position based out of New Holland, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $22.00 / hr.
