Position Introduction / Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking experienced Instrumentation Technicians with experience installing strain gages to support the development of launch vehicle hardware located in Decatur, AL. This position is expected to last 6 months with the possibility of extension. Must be available to work 1st (8 : 00 am - 4 : 00 pm) or 2nd shift (4 : 00 pm - 12 : 00 am or 1 : 00 pm - 11 pm). Shift assignment may change based on business needs.

Key Duties :

• Interpret instrumentation drawings provided by the customer.
• Install strain gage sensors on various materials such as aluminum and composite in accordance with instrumentation drawings.
• Inspect and test strain gages to ensure they are properly bonded and in good health.
• Solder and route wires from strain gages.
• Perform continuity testing to ensure the gages are soldered correctly.
• Troubleshoot and repair damaged gages that may arise.
• Document work performed for each day.
• Coordinate with management to establish work priorities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, & organized work environment.
