As an Information Technology Systems Engineer, you will support and administer a highly virtualized network and server infrastructure.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and provide technical support for all network servers, SAN, storage systems, backup systems and other equipment to achieve optimal performance.
  • Participate in department management through the design, installation, and support of all network server, and storage infrastructure.
  • Review maintenance needs, scheduling of upgrades and downtime, and overall daily performance with department management on a regular basis.
  • Ensure all Server hardware and specified storage hardware is logged, registered, and supported with the appropriate vendor.
  • Adhere to appropriate departmental documentation standards (writing and updating).
  • Provide support on escalated Help Desk issues to resolve hardware and software issues for team members in all departments and at all levels of the organization.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to all departments to help select and maintain applications.
  • Respond to emergency after hours’ calls.
  • Participate in current and future educational opportunities allowing for the continual improvement of the environment.
  • Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma and 5 years of related experience are required. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology can take the place of 2 years of experience, or an Associate’s degree in Information Technology can take the place of 1 year of experience.
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Messaging / Core Directory Services / Azure certifications preferred.
  • Experience developing and supporting Microsoft technologies such as : SQL Server admin / maintenance, T-SQL. SSRS, , C#, VB, .

NET, PowerShell preferred.

  • Experience with SQL Server administration / maintenance, T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, HTML5, Java Script, , C#, .NET, and / or PowerShell preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cisco compute, communications, wireless, networking, and security preferred.
  • Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and general knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with platform monitoring, performance, and compliance management.
  • The ability to use strong organizational skills and attention to detail to accurately handle multiple job duties and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to read and interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
  • The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
  • The ability to interact with guests and team members at all levels of the organization professionally, including the ability to speak in front of small groups.
  • The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the office and property for duration of scheduled shift.

The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.

The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 150 pounds occasionally, with assistance.

Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

The noise level is usually quiet. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free. While performing the duties of this job, the team member may occasionally be required to drive a personal vehicle.
