: The Administrative Director, IT Operations & Infrastructure provides strategic and operational leadership for enterprise IT operations, service delivery, and infrastructure systems across the organization. This role oversees technology support, service management, data centers, networking, telecommunications, and end-user computing, ensuring operational excellence, reliability, and scalability across all technology environments.
This position serves as the senior operational leader for IT, uniting technology infrastructure and operational support under one strategy. The Director is responsible for developing and executing plans that align with organizational priorities, optimize system performance, and enhance user experience. In partnership with executive and IT senior leadership, this role drives strategic initiatives that modernize and stabilize the technology environment while ensuring compliance, financial stewardship, and continuous improvement.
This position plays a critical leadership role within the Technology Division and collaborates extensively with peers across clinical, business, and operational areas to ensure the stability and success of technology services supporting patient care and organizational operations.
Education :
- Preferred : Bachelor’s degree in healthcare informatics, computer science, nursing, or a related clinical or technical field.
Experience :
Required : Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, including significant experience in infrastructure operations, support services, and technology planning. Demonstrated experience in large, complex technology environments including networks, data centers, service desk, IT asset management, and PMO or resource management functions. Strong knowledge of ITIL-based service delivery, operational efficiency, and enterprise technology modernization.Skills :
Ability to develop and execute operational strategies that align with organizational goals and improve performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate diverse technical teams and build a culture of accountability and service excellence.Strong understanding of IT infrastructure technologies including networking, systems management, cloud environments, telephony, and end-user support.Expertise in operational and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.Experience leading IT service management (ITSM) practices and implementing ITIL-based frameworks.Strong vendor management, contract negotiation, and performance oversight abilities.Knowledge of process optimization, performance metrics, and service delivery dashboards.Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on operational oversight.Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively across clinical, business, and administrative functions.
