Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred 1-2 years of experience; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience Work under general supervision based on guidance and direction provided by team members Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Possess time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Experience with Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Prolonged periods of standing and / or walking Must lift and / or move up to 50 pounds Bending, twisting, crouching, reaching, pulling, and pushing depending on tasks of the job Steady hands with dexterity to complete labor related tasks Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls Ability to drive a forklift once certified with company Visually see details of objects both more or less than a few feet away Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses and steel-toed shoes Access to sought-after positions with leading employers Dedicated placement specialists who will guide you through every step of the job search process Over 40 years of staffing experience Best of all, our services are 100% free to job seekers!
Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Wage : $19 / hour
Shift : 1st
Hours : 7am-3 : 30pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a company in Richmond, IL. This is an associate to hire opportunity.
Shipping and Receiving Clerk Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Verify and record all items loaded for shipments
- Pack and label product based on established procedures
- Transport product from shipping dock to outbound vehicle
- Process transaction paperwork for both outbound and inbound orders
- Receive shipments and verify the quality and count of all items unloaded; report any damage or discrepancies to Supervisor and Purchasing
- Transport product from receiving dock to proper storage location
- Maintain housekeeping standards in work area including the docks
- Assist in the weighing of scrap materials and loading the materials onto the truck
- Report the weight and dimensions of shipments to Logistics Coordinator when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
