Director - Public Works

Director Halff has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Director with experience in Public Works engineering for our Tampa, Florida office.

This position will entail the design and management of civil engineering projects and related pursuits. The ideal candidate will have experience in Public Works projects in the Tampa Bay region.

This position requires strong design and project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities. This position will have a large amount of autonomy in managing other professional engineers, engineers-in-training, and CAD designers.

Director - Public Works Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• PE License in Florida
• 15+ years of experience in utility and public works design
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• Experience in project scope development, professional services fee development, and staff projections
• Experience producing winning project proposals as lead professional / project manager.
• Strong ability to train and mentor staff.
• Must be proficient in project management, administration, and supervision.
• Ability to work in a team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines.
• Positive attitude, self-directed
