Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time qualified and caring Registered Dental Hygienist who wants long-term, stable employment to join our team! We are a high quality, highly regarded, busy dental practice that has been located in Eastwood since 1955. Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited dental hygienist school and licensed to practice hygiene in the state of New York.

    • Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations
  • Perform preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene procedures such as scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
  • Take digital intraoral and panorex radiographs
  • Chart caries and periodontal conditions as an aid to diagnosis.
  • Apply pit and fissure sealants.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
  • Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Review documentation to ensure compliance with office protocols and standards.

    • Skills

  • Proficient in-patient assessment techniques and be familiar with general dentistry practices.
  • Experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred but new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with ultrasonic instruments is encouraged but not required.
  • Computer experience is required, prior experience with Eaglesoft is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Competent in documentation review processes to ensure thorough record keeping.
