TITLE : Maintenance Technician
LOCATION : Kansas City,KS
SCHEDULE : All Shifts Available
PRIMARY DUTIES :
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance plans and activities in a safe,properandtimelymanner while constantlymaintaininga high levelof craftsmanship.
Assistin training of other plant personnel.
- Utilize the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to assist in the development and the execution and follow-up on maintenance activities including but not limited to inspections, calibrations, repairs and rebuilds.
- Complete all required documentation accurately andin a timely manner.
- Use andmaintainall tools properly.
- Withassistancedevelop ability toprovidecorrective actions to all levels of equipment / system failuresutilizingroot cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
- Withassistancedemonstrateabilitytoutilizeadvanced maintenance techniques and tools such as thermo-graphic, ultrasonic and vibration analysis to assess the health of production equipment and predict failures before they occur.
- Repair,modificationand improvement of assigned production equipment with precision maintenancetechniquesas necessary.
- Participate on the Kansas City TPM Project teams as needed.
- Identifyand / orcorrectspotentially hazardous conditions.
- Ability to safelyoperatea forklift.
- Safely perform work, including adherence to with policies such as lock-out-tag-out (LOTO), hot work permit and confined space entry.
- Works closely with Maintenance Supervisors and Maintenance Planners to develop opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Assistin the development of individual performanceobjectives.
- Work cooperatively in a maintenance culture that is focused on continuous improvement (LEAN), positive morale and exceptional levels of customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must have aminimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance work experienceof mechanic work experience (can be a combination of employers) or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
- Willing and able to stand, sit, bend, walk, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat and reach
- Willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-70 pounds
- Willing and able to work in the cold or heat (10 degrees below zero to 105 degrees) or damp environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces
- Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Basic computer skills in order to complete required training and / or tasks
- Ability to identify parts and supplies needed to complete job tasks
- Ability to verbally communicate material effectively in a training environment
- Ability to read and understandmanuals / instructions,blueprints and schematics
- Willing and able to walk on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours
