Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Safety and Training Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety and employee training programs that support operational excellence and regulatory compliance. This role ensures a safe working environment and a skilled workforce through proactive safety initiatives and targeted training strategies. The position supports a manufacturing environment specializing in stamped metal components and light / electronic assembly, operating under ISO 9001, IATF, and NADCAP certifications.

Reporting to : Director of Operations

Duties and Responsibilities

Safety Management

• Develop and maintain safety programs aligned with OSHA, ISO 45001, and industry-specific standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Maintain and update safety documentation, including SDS records and hazard communication plans.
• Lead safety committee meetings and promote a culture of safety across all departments.
• Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations and internal policies.
• Coordinate emergency response planning and drills.

Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety, Human Resources, Education, Industrial Engineering, or related field, required. 3+ years of experience in safety and training roles within a manufacturing environment, required. Experience with OSHA, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and NADCAP compliance standards, preferred. Certifications such as OSHA 30, CPLP, or SHRM-CP / SCP, APM / PMP are highly desirable.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $74,200.00 - $111,400.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
