Nursing Director - Behavioral Health

Full-Time | Leadership Role | $40,000 Sign-On Bonus

Location : Framingham, MA

About the Role

Envoy Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Nursing Director of Behavioral Health to join a leading regional healthcare system serving communities between Worcester and Boston. This 307-bed, multi-campus organization offers a full spectrum of care, including acute medical, surgical, critical care, and specialty services, and is nationally recognized for its quality outcomes.

As Nursing Director, you will provide operational and clinical leadership for assigned departments, supporting the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. This is a 24 / 7 leadership role with responsibility for staffing, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple units. You will play a pivotal role in shaping nursing practice, driving performance, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Provide operational leadership across assigned inpatient and / or procedural units

Lead planning, coordination, and evaluation of nursing care delivery

Supervise and support nursing teams, ensuring clinical competence and professional growth

Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards

Collaborate with senior leadership to align nursing services with hospital-wide goals

Serve as a role model and advocate for nursing excellence

What You Bring

Education

Required : Associate Degree in Nursing + Bachelor's in Nursing or related healthcare field (BSN or equivalent)

Preferred : Masters in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field

Experience

Minimum 2 years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital setting (Manager or Charge Nurse level)

Licensure & Certifications

Active RN license (must meet state requirements)

Current CPR certification (AHA)
