Overview : Join a compassionate healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant I on a Medical Surgical unit, working full-time day shifts. This role involves providing essential patient care, observing and reporting changes in patient conditions, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked environment to support patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and equipment.
- Respond promptly to patient needs through direct assistance or by communicating with appropriate staff.
- Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated patient care tasks.
- Ensure patient safety by properly using equipment and supplies.
- Manage medication and supply retrieval for patient care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the patient environment.
- Participate in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
- Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.
- Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.
- Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and efficient patient throughput.
Education and Certifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.BLS certification from the American Heart Association.Experience and Skills :
