This part-time role involves assisting with patient admissions, orienting patients to the unit and care routines, and supporting nursing staff by carrying out delegated care tasks.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in patient admissions and orientation to the unit and care equipment.
- Respond promptly to patient needs by communicating with appropriate team members.
- Support the implementation of nursing care plans through delegated tasks.
- Maintain patient safety by ensuring proper use of equipment and supplies.
- Manage and restock patient care supplies and maintain a clean environment.
- Participate in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
- Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.
- Perform additional clinical skills as approved by the nursing board after further education and competency validation.
Education and Formal Training :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Current registration as Nursing Assistant I with the state nursing board.Successful completion of the first semester in an accredited nursing program is preferred.Experience :
