Temporary Maintenance Tech
This is a full-time, non-exempt, temporary position with a contract end date of 12 / 31 / 2025. The Maintenance Tech reports to the Facility Manager and works a flexible schedule. The role does not supervise others. The rate of pay is $21 per hour. Temporary, full-time employees are eligible for sick leave, and the position offers medical, dental, and optional insurance coverages.
The Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas, including turning over rooms, cleaning and sanitizing common areas, and complying with health and safety standards. Duties include :
- Maintaining the facility by replenishing supplies, cleaning surfaces, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and emptying trash.
- Cleaning guest rooms after move-out, including painting and minor repairs.
- Performing general building upkeep and maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, cleaning air filters, checking fire extinguishers, and maintaining floors and gutters.
- Assisting in providing inside and outside security and safety of the building.
- Referring all guest requests to appropriate staff.
- Maintaining a professional relationship with residents and staff.
Qualification and education requirements include :
Work experience in custodial, maintenance, or housekeeping preferred.Ability to speak, read, and write in English.Good people skills and respect for other employees, guests, associates, and the goals of The Salvation Army.A criminal history background check will be required.Supportive of The Salvation Army's mission.Physical Requirements include :
