Responsibilities Work in the MS / Tele Float Pool across multiple acute care units within a 60-mile radius of Denver Float to various specialties including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 5-6 depending on acuity Adult to geriatric patient population with a variety of diagnoses including post-surgical, cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, general medicine, and psych / detox Use of EpicCare Inpatient EMR system Night shifts, 12 hours in length, with 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6 week period Must float among multiple hospitals within Zone 3; no designated home base facility All time off requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment RT equipment is available on units, including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP Rare on-call requirement for low census situations Provide direct nursing care to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population across multiple specialties Travelers are expected to float throughout all assigned facilities within the 60-mile designated zone Flexible schedule required to accommodate staffing gaps and fill permanent staff schedules 1-2 days of department-specific orientation with a preceptor will be provided Scrub color is any color of choice Potential to be included in the holiday rotation Nurse aids are available on the units to support nursing staff Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as determined by unit rotation Requirements Active CO or compact state RN license required at time of consideration Minimum two years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the AHA Experience with Epic EMR preferred Must have experience titrating Heparin drips Driver's license required for radius verification Must provide two references : one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last three years Candidates may not have been employed directly (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit facility in the past year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-631767.
