About The Position
Barton is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine for a 42-day locum tenens assignment in Texas. The selected locum will be handling PICU coverage, physicals, illnesses, and other critical care cases. There is also potential for extension with this opportunity.

Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct and document comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis, including psychological statusSynthesize data and utilize evidence to develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies / resultsDemonstrate proficiency in technical and procedural skills relevant to pediatric critical careProvide management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding current care and preventive health measuresFacilitate and participate in quality-related initiatives to improve clinical and system practice performanceCollaborate in research projects and protocols, and routinely apply evidence-based best practices to patient careAdditional Information
Minimum 1 year of experience in a PICU setting requiredActive Texas license requiredCertifications required : Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC) requiredExperience with Epic EMR preferredAssignment is contingent upon credentialing and may be extended through year-end based on performanceBenefits
