Job descriptionWork a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Camden office Design effective, energy-efficient systems for healthcare facilities, academic institutions, and corporate research facilities Use various programs to analyze load calculations and energy modeling Review HVAC drawings for technical accuracy Support construction administration as needed by performing site surveys, attending pre-bid meetings, and providing field construction support Support project managers, senior engineers, and designers in designing HVAC systems for clients' unique needs and successfully executing initiatives Ensure projects comply with all parameters (budgets, client specifications, departmental standards, etc.) Communicate with architects and facility owners Direct and lead less experienced engineers during projects and implement training programs Assist with proposal development, client management, and project execution BS in mechanical engineering Professional engineer (PE) license OR currently working towards licensure 5+ years of professional, progressive experience in the US (preferably in the Tri-State area) in designing mechanical or HVAC systems for laboratory or critical care facilities Experience using load analysis and energy modeling programs (eQUEST, Trane TRACE, ENERGY STAR, Carrier HAP, etc.) Experience executing and implementing a design project with Autodesk AutoCAD or Revit Experience in building information modeling (BIM) Strong knowledge of local, state, and national codes, including NFPA and Joint Meeting Ability to prepare presentations and explain technical information in simple terms Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent in-person English communication skills Collaboration skills Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
