Benefits Verification Specialist – Open Enrollment Support (Contract Role)

Location : Fully Remote – Must reside within 1 hour of Charlotte, NC (equipment pickup required)

Compensation : $18 per hour

Schedule : Full-Time, Monday–Friday (Standard Business Hours)

Duration : Contract through Open Enrollment Period (with potential for extension) 12 week opportunity

Overview

A leading patient advocacy and healthcare access organization is seeking Benefits Verification Specialists to support their team during the Open Enrollment season . In this role, you’ll help patients gain access to specialty medications by verifying insurance benefits, assisting with prior authorizations, and coordinating with healthcare providers and pharmacies. Key Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage and benefits for specialty pharmacy medications.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and payers to confirm eligibility and cost-sharing details.
• Document and update benefit information accurately in multiple systems.
• Assist in resolving coverage gaps and identifying reimbursement options.
• Support prior authorization and appeal processes as needed.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and company privacy standards.
• Deliver patient-centered service while meeting accuracy and productivity expectations.
