What You’ll Do
The Alfred Firm is seeking to hire a Paralegal with 2 - 5 years of experience in the legal field. You will be responsible for the coordination of all the details before, during, and after trial. Due to our growing needs, we are looking to hire a Paralegal to support Personal Injury / Motor Vehicle Attorneys. Ideal candidates would possess organizational skills, be detail oriented, and have effective communication skills in speaking with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, legal professionals, and other staff members.
We are looking for individuals who can work well in a team environment and with many different Attorneys and staff members. Candidates that have experience with plaintiff’s personal injury and the discovery process, as well as trial prep experience, are preferred.
Responsibilities Include :
Case Management : Organize and maintain case files, track important dates and deadlines, and manage large volumes of documents
Document Preparation : Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, responses to pleadings and discovery requests
Legal Research : Conduct legal research to support attorneys in developing strategies and arguments
Trial Preparation : Assist with the preparation of exhibits, witness list, and other materials as needed for hearings, trials and settlements.
Communication : Serve as a liaison between Attorney and client, as well as with opposing counsel and court personnel

Qualifications :
Certification or Associate’s degree in paralegal studies required
A minimum of two years experience in a paralegal role
Investigative mind with strong research and organizational skills
Excellent communication and time management skills
Personal Injury experience preferred
Motivated self-starter who can work independently and under the direct supervision of Attorneys
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
