In this key role, you will spearhead the creation and implementation of advanced Avionics and Electrical Systems. Your work will encompass Harnessing, Battery and Power Systems, Sensors, Mechanisms, Navigation, Safety Systems, and Flight Computers, all within tight deadlines.
You’ll play a crucial role in the hands-on implementation phase, collaborating with the team to understand customer requirements and seamlessly integrate them into Vehicle and Architecture Design.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design, development, construction, and testing of avionics systems.
- Speed up execution and iteration processes to quickly deploy hardware into orbit.
- Promote technical excellence and ownership within the Avionics engineering team by mentoring new members and setting high performance standards.
- Design avionics systems that align with company and mission objectives, offering innovative capabilities for the in-space economy.
- Deeply understand company and mission goals to navigate requirements and provide alternative solutions.
- Develop and execute test plans aligned with mission risk assessments and take ownership of test campaign outcomes.
- Conduct design reviews, test readiness reviews, and flight readiness reviews with a focus on technical excellence.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
- Over 3 years of experience designing complex electrical and / or control systems for harsh environments (such as autonomous vehicles, drones, spacecraft).
- Ability to stay flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Proven track record of delivering innovative, high-quality technical products.
- Experience managing analysis products and effectively incorporating feedback into design.
