Job Description

Turner & Townsend seeks an experienced Senior Project Controls consultant with a strong cost background to work in a client facing role with one of our high-profile Oil and gas clients.

The role is to provide Cost Engineering services to our Client's Whiting, Indiana Site Solutions Group as part of the client’s shared service team.

With a specific focus on analyzing cost data in order to identify project risks and opportunities, this role will positively influence the outcome of our clients’ projects / events.

Key Elements :

Utilize the client’s standard tools and processes as appropriate for each project’s life cycle development and execution phase, maintaining consistency in cost.

• Create accurate monthly cost reports, identifying variance from the plan on commitment, value of work done, changes etc.
• Provide project management support in the development of cost breakdown structures, work breakdown structures and documenting cost, time and resource sheets.
• Implement the change management process for projects, providing guidance on trend analysis and the assessment of change impacts on cost.
• Maintain and promote realism in the cost forecasts in the face of commercial pressure and optimism from project teams.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7+ years industry experience in project controls / cost engineer positions.
• Experience in managing large / small projects.
• Experience with Ecosys and Power BI, preferable.
• Fully versed with cost control principals and techniques.
• Turnaround experience a plus.
• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with a client centered focus.
