ICU RN Job Details – Spartanburg, SC

Location : Spartanburg, SC 29303 (South Carolina nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCU / ICU)

Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 1 / 4 / 2026 – End : 4 / 5 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (19 : 00 – 07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1630-$1750

Patient Ratio : 1 : 2

Call Requirement : 2 calls per 6 weeks

Weekend Coverage : 3-4 weekend shifts per 6 weeks

Unit Size : 10 beds, adult patient population, average daily census ~9

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (South Carolina or compact state; pending license considered)

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (2 years preferred)

Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system preferred

Previous community hospital or acute care experience required

Must pass Cardiac Dysrhythmia and Moderate Sedation competency tests at orientation

COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU / CCU

Manage advanced cardiac and medical critical care cases, including ventilator and CRRT patients

Perform and assist with procedures such as arterial line management, central line care, and chest tube insertion / removal

Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, emergency medications, and blood products

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ABGs, and hemodynamic parameters

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy

Maintain accurate clinical documentation using the Epic EHR system

Participate in call coverage and scheduled weekend rotations
