Our client is looking for a high-energy “hunter” who is also an excellent account manager to fill a home-based sales position, located in Southern California. Overnight travel is expected to be

Responsibilities : Sell a broad range of raw material specialty chemicals (Additives, Pigments, Resins, etc.) to the CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, & Elastomers) markets in a region that includes Southern California and Arizona. This is technical selling. There would also be a large amount of prospecting and cold calling responsibilities. Manage all pricing and account strategies. Grow the business, both at existing accounts, but also by adding new accounts. Travel overnight as needed.

Requirements : 4+ years of experience selling raw material chemicals, preferably to the CASE markets. Sales experience with a chemical distributor is a plus. A Bachelor’s Degree is required. A technical degree is preferred, but not required. High energy “hunter” with proven sales success in the region. Willingness to travel overnight as needed.

Company Information : North American raw material specialty chemical company.

Compensation : Base salary : $130,000 - $170,000, commensurate with experience. Plus, generous bonus plan based on GP$ growth over the prior year. Realistic annual bonus would be in the 25% - 40% of base salary range : there is no cap so it can be much higher. Car allowance. Excellent benefits. Opportunities for advancement.
