The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization, an organization within CE&S, is leading the effort to enable customer success on the Microsoft Cloud by harnessing leading, AI-powered capabilities and human expertise to deliver innovation solutions that accelerate business value, drive operational excellence and nurture long term loyalty.
The Business Analyst is a strategic enabler of insight and impact within the Customer Value Practice—translating complex data into clear, actionable intelligence that drives transformation across programs and practices. This role blends analytical rigor with compelling storytelling to inform executive decisions and elevate operational excellence.
The Business Analyst contributes to AI-powered transformation through data-driven insights, interactive dashboards, and performance measurement frameworks. While not solely focused on AI, the role actively identifies opportunities to amplify value through intelligent analytics. This includes :

Qualifications
Required :
Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 3+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis OR equivalent experience.
3+ years'experience with data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
3+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Analytics & Visualization Expertise : Skilled in Power BI (or similar), SQL, and data modeling; capable of creating interactive dashboards and applying statistical methods for actionable insights.
Strategic Data Storytelling : Ability to translate complex analytics into clear, compelling narratives for executive audiences, driving strategic decisions.
AI & Continuous Improvement Mindset : Familiarity with AI / ML concepts and experience embedding intelligent analytics into transformation programs for measurable outcomes.
Collaboration & Governance : Proven track record of partnering across cross-functional teams while ensuring data quality and compliance with Microsoft security and privacy standards.
Business Analytics IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
