Overview

Santa Monica Seafood is seeking a seasoned Technical Business Analyst with a strong blend of software development, report writing, and business analysis expertise. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience in accounting, the food industry, and business operations relevant to food production and distribution.

This cross-functional role will be instrumental in designing and implementing data-driven solutions, streamlining operational workflows, and building custom software / reporting tools that empower strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Report Writing Duties (30%)

• Analyze business requirements and convert them into functional specifications.
• Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and ERP reports.
• Ensure data consistency across platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM, databases). This includes data normalization and standardization.
• Monitor KPIs and deliver actionable insights.
• Utilize tools such as SQL profiler to translate end user transactions to affected tables for effective report writing.
• Setup and maintain data exchange gateways such as PowerBI Gateways.
• Train users on Power BI and troubleshoot data / reporting issues.

Software / Integration Developer (50%)

Business Analyst (20%)
