WaterJet Operator
Daily Thermetrics is seeking an experienced WaterJet Operator to join our rapidly growing production team. The WaterJet Operator is responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining high-pressure waterjet cutting machines that cut various metals using detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Responsibilities include loading materials, monitoring the cutting process, ensuring quality through inspections, performing routine maintenance, to produce precision parts for manufacturing. The role requires technical skills, attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret technical documents. The successful WaterJet Operator will ensure that projects are completed safely and accurately, and in a timely manner to meet stringent QA, ISO, Safety, and customer, and work order requirements.
This is a waterjet operator position in an ISO Certified manufacturing / fabrication facility.
This is not an entry-level position.
Experience with Flow Water Jet Machine will be highly preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Design optimal work flow by working with manufacturing engineering and fabrication departments for assigned waterjet projects
- Expertly produce small, medium, and large components of various metals and alloys.
- Read and comprehend technical drawings, blueprints, schematics
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of metallurgy
- Setting up water jet machine and other equipment, components according to specifications
- Document waterjet processes that meet engineering product requirements, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety and maintains responsibility for all tools and equipment assigned.
- Demonstrate continued high-caliber performance and improvement to reduce errors, scrap, waste to improve and reduce labor and material costs.
- Coordinate work with multiple disciplines including engineering, designers, drafters, Machinists, QA, welders, and other production staff
Qualifications :
Graduation from high school, vocational school, or recognized craftsman apprenticeship program or equivalentAt least one (1) to two (2) years of proven experience as waterjet operationsExperience, working in a manufacturing / fabrication or machine shop environmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and documents such as WPSs, PQRs, WPQsExcellent technical communication skillsAbility to work independentlyHave a strong mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detailUnderstanding of ASME codes and NDT processes, will be helpfulExperience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing(helmet, face-shield, gloves, etc.)
Professional Certification will be a plusSelf-driven initiative to respond to fluid work environment and rapidly changing prioritiesEmployment Details :
