Loan Operations Analyst

Position Title : Loan Operations Associate I

Location : Columbia, MD | Glen Allen, VA (Onsite)

Position Status : Contract

Pay Rate : $33 / hour

Position Description :

The Loan Operations Associate I will support loan servicing needs, assist in the development and improvement of processes, and contribute to overall team and business objectives. This position involves direct interaction with both internal and external customers, requiring excellent communication and diplomacy skills while handling a variety of standard loan servicing activities.

Key Accountabilities :

• Work effectively with minimal supervision and collaborate as a team player.
• Respond to customer and internal inquiries within given timeframes and policy guidelines.
• Support teammates within the team and adhere to established processes and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable banking laws, regulations, and BSA / AML policies.
• Ensure excellent service delivery to internal partners and external customers.
• Identify and resolve issues, ensuring accuracy and completion of work processes.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks from initiation to closure, recommending improvements.
• Achieve daily production goals while maintaining high quality standards.
• Participate in assigned projects and comply with dual control standards.
• Escalate risks and concerns appropriately.
• Perform basic account maintenance, customer transactions, and balance OTE transactions.
• Handle loan payoffs, payoff letters, loan verifications, and letters of guaranty.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, loan file intake, and collateral documentation.
• Provide professional and confidential handling of sensitive information.

Organizational Relationship :

Reports directly to the Supervisor - Loan Operations.
