Project Manager - Water / Wastewater
Our client is a leading consultancy across the US specialised in a number of industries with a clear mandate to become a leader in the Water / Wastewater space.
Over their long history, they have developed some key relationships in the Water and Wastewater market space. Recently, they have seen individuals get promoted within the business and therefore new roles get created including this role;
Project Manager - Water / Wastewater.
In a short summary, this position will lead and deliver water, wastewater, and groundwater projects across the State of Illinois.
This individual will be responsible for the development and management of all aspects of municipal water and wastewater utility system project planning, design, and services during construction.
This role in some ways could be described as more of a client services manager as it is a crucial role in the development and maintenance of existing clients.
Essential duties include :
- Initiates, develops, and maintains close client relationships with clients in Illinois and surrounding areas
- You will manage the preparation of proposals, presentations and contract procedures
- Ideally, you will actively participate in AWWA, WEF, APWA, ASCE, IAWA, and other professional organizations
- Develops creative and innovative approaches to project development
- Provides leadership during project execution
- Crucially, you will lead efforts across client management and client satisfaction.
- Furthermore, you will assist in developing strategic plans for assigned clients including identification of project opportunities and pursuits
To be successful in this role, you will require 10+ years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering or a public works environment.
You will have a proven track record of successful project and client development across water supply, water treatment, water transmission and distribution, and storage facilities.
Some knowledge around the funding of water projects would be a benefit.
